If you're looking to shed some weight from your AR rifle or pistol, this is a great way to do it!
Designed and machined by Americans at a Veteran owned and run machine shop in SW Washington State.
Our barrel Nuts are machined from US made 7075-T6 aircraft grade aluminum then tumbled, blasted and anodized to MIL-A-8625 Type II specs. We've tested them by taking them to 90 ft-lbs of torque though we do not recommend, nor will we warranty over-torquing!
All of the barrel nuts designed by and produced for Black Label Products have been thoroughly and rigorously tested on a registered M16 lowers through burst fire, mag dumps and torture tests consisting of 120-240 rounds on full auto with the only break(s) being to load new drum(s) or mag(s). During the worst of our full-auto fire tests, the adjustable gas block reached over 400* F while the barrel nut only hit 86* degrees F, an increase of approximately 15 degrees from before firing began.
We recommend a torque value over 30 ft-lbs and under 50 ft-lbs using the three step method prescribed per Mil-Spec including use of anti-seize or install grease as specified by Mil-Spec. Should you have questions about approved grease, please don't hesitate to email us via firstname.lastname@example.org.
